Hey there. It's been another miserable week for civil rights and functioning democratic government. Suffice it to say that I'm appalled by the Supreme Court's abandonment of all intellectual consistency or compassion in its cynical, shameless exercise of raw political power. Quick reminder to the high-ranking government officials and politicians among my readership that you have been empowered to actually effect change, not just fundraise based on nightmarish current events. I encourage you to take meaningful action while that remains a possibility.

Anyway. We have a cool font today.

Occlusion Grotesque

Occlusion Grotesque

Occlusion Grotesque is an experimental typeface that is carved into the bark of a tree. As the tree grows, it deforms the letters and outputs new design variations, that are captured annually. The project explores what it means to design with nature and on nature's terms.

This is great. I recommend actually clicking on the link to learn more about this and to see lots of cool photos of how the letterforms developed. You can even download the font and use it!
