Wolmania - Friday, October 7, 2022

Happy Friday. Last week I promised a special treat - an international edition of the newsletter. Well, I'm in Czechia (formerly, and technically still, the Czech Republic) this week so I thought I'd try a little experiment. I will be translating the rest of the newsletter into Czech, and then back to English. (I promised an international edition - I never promised that it would be good.) From here on out, you're in Google Translate's disappointingly capable hands.

Here's a fun interview with a guy who has a thriving floppy disk buying and selling business in 2022. Fascinating story.

"Articles of Interest" - "American Ivy" - October 2022

"Articles of Interest" - "American Ivy" - October 2022

I really enjoyed the first season of "Articles of Interest" by Avery Trufelman, a fashion design podcast. This month is a new season dedicated to preppy clothes, which I'm sure will be excellent. But if you haven't already heard the first two seasons, I strongly suggest you check them out.

Item 4: word of the week

Diacritical mark

Item 5: a photograph

Double exposure photograph showing Tesla in his Colorado Springs laboratory, ca. 1899.

See ya!

Well, that was a little less exciting than I expected. I remember the results of this process being much more fun in the later years. But at the end of the day we still have excellent core #content. Anyway, I'll be in Italy next week. Stay tuned for what questionable trick I decide to try.

Thanks for reading - see you next week.
