Good morning and hello. I was gonna make a joke about Elon Musk buying this newsletter but then I remembered that Twitter owns Revue, the platform upon which this newsletter is built. Suffice to say I don't find the prospect of him owning Twitter very appealing so let's hope that Musk's bid for Twitter is one of many examples of him just kind of saying he's gonna do something and then losing interest as soon as he's required to actually do it.

Here are some things for you to look at:

How is AriZona Iced Tea still 99 cents as inflation soars?

Interesting story about how & why cans of AriZona iced tea have cost 99 cents since 1992. Good reminder that maximizing per-unit profits is not the only way to run a business!

Song Exploder | BoJack Horseman

Song Exploder | BoJack Horseman

Confession, I still haven’t gotten around to watching the last season of Bojack Horseman (even though I quite enjoy the show). But ever since I first heard it back in 2016, the Song Exploder episode about the Bojack theme song has really stuck with me for some reason. It’s a fun, weird, song with a fairly simple origin story that I enjoyed hearing about. And with one of its creators having died soon after recording the interview, the episode carries a strange weight these days. Anyway if you don’t care about the backstory you should at least listen to the song. It’s good. RIP, Ralph Carney.
