Hello there, reader! Seen any good movies lately? Or have you just been watching The Matrix: Resurrections? I kid, I kid.

I've got a fun grab bag of stuff for you this week. You can probably already see the photograph of a baseball player. Yes, it's true. I won't keep you in suspense any longer:  Item 1 is about baseball. Let's get started:

Michael Morse hits the most bizarre grand slam you'll ever see

Michael Morse hits the most bizarre grand slam you'll ever see

It was a thrill to watch my beloved Washington Nationals win the World Series a couple of years ago (incidentally it's my position that the last two MLB seasons were irreparably tainted by covid-19 and don't count, so they remain world champs). But as exciting as it was to watch my boys win it all, erstwhile Nat Michael Morse's hilarious 2012 grand slam is the clear pinnacle of DC baseball history. I'm linking to the write-up but do yourself a favor and just watch the four-and-a-half minute video instead.

Item 2: a list

The Ocean, Ranked:

  1. The Global Ocean

Just kidding.

The Oceans, Ranked:

  1. The Pacific Ocean
  2. The Indian Ocean
  3. The Southern Ocean
  4. The Atlantic Ocean
  5. The Arctic Ocean

Item 3: a media recommendation

Manu Chao - Bongo Bong

Item 4: a photograph

I was more excited about this until I saw the rundown on exactly how it was fabricated from a bunch of different images, but I still think it’s a nice image.

See ya!

Thanks for reading - see you next week when we kiss 2021 goodbye.
