Fovea

Dr. Furlong leaned close over her patient's face, peering through her magnifying glass until she spotted it - the left eye's fovea. With one hand she held the eyelids apart. With the other hand, she reached a finger towards the eye. As her finger touched the cornea, unthinking, she emitted a reflexive "boop".
