Hello again. Here's today's Wolmania.

There's this cool book, Shift Happens, a massive multi-part tome about the history of keyboards. It had a wildly successful Kickstarter campaign last year, raising around $750k. I am interested in the book's content (the last few copies seem to still be on sale, by the way), but for Wolmania's purposes I wanted to highlight this Medium post by Glenn Fleishman, who lays out exactly how he helped the author prepare the manuscript for publishing and put the Kickstarter campaign together. It's a fun look at the nuts and bolts of this stuff (if you find the nuts and bolts of this stuff to be fun). There's a lot that the lucky people who don't work in the crowdfunding mines never have to think about.
