Happy Friday and welcome back to Wolmania. This week we are back to our usual hackneyed tricks, starting with cheap nostalgia and ending with dinosaurs. And yeah, things get quite a bit dumber in between.

Image lovingly borrowed from Hodinkee.

Kids, gather 'round and listen to this. When I was your age, we wore clocks on our wrists. No that's not the interesting part, I know you know about wristwatches. The interesting part is that nobody figured out a good way to see what time it was in the dark until 1992, when someone at Timex was like "hmm maybe we should use this 40 year-old technology to add a light to these things". And thus Indiglo was born.

It's a very silly article (complimentary!) but on the other hand I really do remember Indiglo being a big sensation. To put it in terms modern readers can understand, it was sort of the consumer technology version of Glicked.

Satrap

Ever since you-know-who took charge, every petty satrap in the world has unrealistic ambitions. Sorry folks, just because one incompetent, vainglorious moron managed to make it to the top doesn't mean you're ever going to get there. Your time would be better served in self-reflection.
