It was a beautiful day - almost suspiciously too beautiful, with a few white clouds dotting an otherwise azure sky, and a cool breeze rolling in from the ocean. His manservant walked purposefully to the table, lifting a gleaming cloche to reveal a frosty, unopened can of Diet Coke (his fourth of the morning). The New York Times breaking news alert buzzed his phone, announcing yet another indictment, and the oneiric moment was shattered.
