Folks, I've been a bit under the weather this week so this is going to be even terser than usual.

Scientists, as perhaps their final accomplishment before their vocation is criminalized, spotted a colossal squid in its native environment (under the sea) for the first time. I know what you're thinking – let me know when they find a frickin' adult – but it's still kinda neat. If you click through you can watch a video of it squidding around.
